That’s the title of a documentary on Amy Goodman and “Democracy Now!” that will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 24) at Palo Alto’s Mitchell Park Community Center, 3700 Middlefield Road, as part of the United Nations Association Film Festival.
Filmmakers Carl Deal and Tia Lessin profile Goodman amid journalism’s power–and peril–in an era of corporate control and political attacks on truth.
Deal and Lessin have also produced several of Michael Moore’s films, among them: Fahrenheit 9/11, winner of the Palme d’Or, Academy Award-winning Bowling for Columbine, Capitalism: A Love Story, Where To Invade Next, and Fahrenheit 11/9.
The film is one of several that will be shown this weekend (schedule) to wrap up the annual film festival.
The festival ends Sunday at 8:30 p.m. with an Awards Ceremony and Closing Night Reception. Go here for more details about the festival.
